I-75 South at Dryden Road in Moraine reopens, crashed vehicles cleared

MORAINE — UPDATE @ 8:18 p.m.

One person believed to have suffered minor injuries was taken to Kettering Medical Center from the multiple-vehicle crash Thursday night on I-75 South near the Dryden Road exit that shut down the southbound lanes for more than an hour.

As many as nine vehicles were involved in the accident police think was caused when a pickup truck lost part of its load, Moraine police Sgt. Ken Lloyd said.

Sandy’s was called to tow the vehicles away.

The southbound lanes, shut down about 6:44 p.m., were reopened to traffic about 8:10 p.m., the sergeant said.

A second accident, this one involving at least two vehicles, was slowing traffic in the southbound lanes at about 8:20 p.m.

INITIAL REPORT

The southbound lanes of I-75 in Moraine, near the Dryden Road exit, are shut down until further notice because of a crash reportedly involving as many as five vehicles.

The incident, relayed via Montgomery County Regional Dispatch about 6:44 p.m., was described by dispatch as a “pileup.”

There has been no word on injuries.
